The Green Team
, Little Flower's Environmental Club, is open to all sixth, seventh and eighth graders. The club meets every other Thursday after school for one hour.

The Green Team's goal is to educate the people of our parish and school on environmental concerns and promote recycling and energy saving through personal change.

All members have calculated their personal carbon footprint and identified ways to reduce it.
We are also researching community gardens and green roofs to identify possible ways to enhance our environment.

Beginning early spring of 2009, we will have a lunch time recycling program in place, separating plastic, paper, food waste and milk cartons.

Anyone interested in participaing in the Green Team should contact Dr. Baumgartner, or feel free to attend a Thursday meeting in the Library.
