LITTLE FLOWER DANCING SCHOOL AUGUST NEWSLETTER
CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD REGISTRATION FORM We hope everyone had a great summer and hope to see you at registration! Please read the following for important information and dates! REGISTRATION: Registration will take place on Wednesday, August 24th, from 3:00 until 7:00 pm in the Little Flower School Hall. Bring the enclosed registration form along with the registration fee of $15.00 per dancer. Registration forms can be mailed to Kris Siebert, 2623 Hope Ave. St. Louis, MO 63143. Please make checks payable to Little Flower Ladies Club. Late registration fee is $20 per dancer after October 1st; no registrations will be accepted after November 1st. Dancers MUST be 4 years old by November 1st in order to sign up. SHOE SALE: Our shoe sale will take place during registration on Wednesday August 24th. We will have both new and used shoes for sale. If you have shoes to sell, please tie them together and put an envelope with your name, phone number, and the price you are asking inside the shoes. If you purchase a pair of used shoes, please put your money inside the envelope and give it to one of the workers. This is an honor system; we will try our best to keep track of the used shoes sold. You may pick up your money or unsold shoes the first day of class. We have lots of unsold shoes that have been donated to the Dancing School. If you find a pair that does not have an envelope with them, we ask for a $5 donation for any one pair of shoes. New shoes will be available to try on and orders will be in the first day of class. Checks for new shoes need to be made payable to Marilyn Schunzel. You may purchase shoes from wherever you’d prefer, however for the recital we require pink ballet slippers, black tap shoes, and tan jazz shoes. RECITAL: The recital date has not yet been finalized. We will pass this information onto you as soon as we have it. We understand you need to know this date as early as possible. LOST & FOUND: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE put your child’s name in their dance shoes, jackets, dance clothing, dance bags, etc. It makes it much easier to get them back to you if they are left behind. If your dancer picked up something extra from the last recital, please bring it with you so we can attempt to return it to the rightful owner. We will hold items from last year’s lost & found and the recital for one month before we donate everything. DANCE CLASSES: Dance classes will begin on Saturday, September 10th, 2011. All dancers are required to check in before class. Classes will increase by .25 cents per class this year for a total of $5.00 per week, per class; payment is due even if a dancer misses a class. Please see the back of this newsletter for a list of the class dates.
ATTENDANCE: We realize sports, scouts and school/family functions sometimes coincide with dance class, and so please let us know if/when your dancer will not be present. Dancing takes just as much of a commitment as other activities, so any dancer who misses more than 4 classes in a row without an excuse will not be allowed to continue. Again, payment is due even if you miss a class.
CLASS TIMES: See below for the schedule of class times. 8:30 – 9:30 am Dance – Grades 7th and up 9:30 – 10:15 am Acro – Grades 4th and up 10:15 – 11:00 am Special Ballet – Grades 4th and up 11:00 – 11:45 am Dance – Grades 4th through 6th 11:45 – 12:30 pm Dance - Grades PreK through K (Kindergarten new dancer) 12:30 – 1:15 pm Dance – Grades K through 1st (Kindergarten previous dancer) 1:15 – 2:00 pm Acro – Grades 1st through 3rd 2:00 – 2:45 pm Dance – Grades 2nd through 3rd
PAYMENT: Payments will be due the first week of the month. We do NOT accept weekly payments. Below is a list of class dates for this year and the monthly payment amounts. The September payment of $20.00 for one class ($40.00 for two classes and $60.00 for three classes) will be due at registration. Payments from October-April will be $20 per month per class. The final payment in May is the balance for the year ($10 for one class, $20 for two classes or $30 for three classes). Payment is due even if class is missed. If you join in the middle of a month, the full monthly payment will be due. Once payment is made for the month there are no refunds. We have done this to try to make it easy to remember what to pay as well as make it easy to collect, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation. ALL ACCOUNTS MUST BE MADE IN FULL BY APRIL 14TH. WE WILL NOT SELL RECITAL TICKETS UNTIL YOUR ACCOUNT IS PAID IN FULL

OBSERVATION DAYS: Tentative dates for observation are October 15th, November 26th, and January 28th, so mark your calendars and don’t forget to invite grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles to come watch you dance on these days!
