1 Million Rosaries for Unborn Babies

On Friday May 7, Little Flower School will participate in the One Million Rosaries for Unborn Babies campaign.  The effort is designed to pray one million rosaries in hopes of ending abortions.  Each Little Flower student will participate by praying one rosary.  You can make a pledge to say a rosary by visiting www.SaintMichaelTheArchAngelOrganization.org and signing up or by stopping by the office and obtaining a pledge sheet.

May Crowning, Friday May 7th

Our annual May Crowning will be held on Friday May 7th at 2:30 p.m. in the Church.  The ceremony will be led by our 8th graders who will be on the verge of receiving the sacrament of Confirmation and by our 2nd graders who will have a few days before received their First Communion.  We ask that all of our students bring a flower for the ceremony to present to our Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary.  The flower does not have to be purchased at a florist, it can be a wildflower.  The students will present the flowers at the beginning of the ceremony.  We invite

families and friends to join us for the ceremony.

April Charity (Make A Wish Foundation)

The April charity was the Make A Wish Foundation.  For day we raised $79.  Please remember that when your child brings in money they are not only earning the right to wear play clothes, but much more importantly they are supporting a worthwhile charitable organization.  You can feel free to donate larger amounts than what is asked as you are supporting wonderful organizations.  The charities that we have supported throughout this year have been the St. Patrick’s Center, the Maggie Welby Foundation, the Chromosome NP- Foundation, Sophie’s Kiss, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, St. Vincent De Paul Society, and now the Make A Wish Foundation.

Parish Picnic A Wet Success

Despite the rain and severe weather, the annual Little Flower Picnic was a success.  We would like to thank all the volunteers that worked hard in this effort, but we would like to extend special thanks to the organizers Jerry Lucas and Maggie Storey.

Little Flower Spanish Classes

Hola!!  It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of a school year.  From the feedback that I have received and from what I have observed our Spanish class has been a success this year.  The class has been a success thanks to the students that participated and to our teachers; Mrs. Viani Pinon-Dickey, Mrs. Joanne Shelton, and most of all to Mrs. Laura Larrea (Casas).  The final class will be on Thursday April 15.  Both the older and younger groups will have class on Thursday April 15.  The planning process is already underway for the classes to resume next year.
