Little Flower Newsletter 11-2-09

Little Flower Performs Well On The Iowa Test Of Basic Skills (ITBS)!

In September, Little Flower conducted our annual ITBS Standardized testing.  The results have come in and our students and classes performed very well.  All of our classes performed at the 69th percentile or higher.  That means that all of our classes performed at least better than 68% of the other schools that administered the test.  Our 8th grade class scored in the 93rd percentile!  An overall average for Little Flower would be in the 82nd percentile.  Nice job kids!

Stranger Danger Program

On Friday November 20 we will have Police Office Lyndsy Harrison of the Maplewood Richmond Heights Police Department speak to the children regarding “stranger danger.”  It is important for all parents and guardians to speak to their children about encounters with strangers and what they should do in such situations.  In conjunction with this presentation, Officer Harrison would like to inform everyone of the website where you can obtain information on sex offenders living in the St. Louis area.  The website is:

http:www.mshp.dps.mo.gov/MSHPWeb/PatrolDivisions/CRID/SOR/SORPage.html

If you cannot automatically link to this, copy and paste it into your web browser.  When using this site, it is best to use your zip code as a search tool and to check the site often.
