Little Flower Newsletter 6-21-10

New 6th Grade Teacher!!

As many of you know our wonderful 6th grade teacher Mr. John Hale will not be back at Little Flower next school year.  His career path has led him in another direction and we wish him the best.  Throughout the last month we have been working on screening and interviewing potential candidates to replace Mr. Hale.  Our search is over and we have a new 6th grade teacher.  Mr. Derio Gambaro will be joining our Little Flower faculty.  Mr. Gambaro and his family have been lifelong members of St. Ambrose Parish in the Hill neighborhood.  He attended St. Ambrose School, Chaminade H.S., the University of Missouri, and Harris-Stowe State University.  Mr. Gambaro is a recent college graduate and has worked for a year as a substitute teacher at St. Ambrose and other schools.  We are blessed to have him join our Little Flower family and I hope that we all can make him feel very welcomed.

New Pre-School Teacher

By now most of you know that Mrs. Kathy Gallagher will be leaving Little Flower school to pursue other opportunities.  Mrs. Kathy has been a wonderful asset to our school and will be missed.  Fortunately we found an excellent replacement for Mrs. Kathy.  Mrs. Miranda Gannon was the aid for the Pre-K 3 year old class this year.  She will assume the role as lead teacher and will prove to be an excellent addition to our faculty.

How Often Do You Shop Online?

My guess is that like myself, many of you shop online frequently.  Little Flower School has partnered with an organization called School Mall.  This company will allow you to shop at many of your favorite merchants, while earning money for our school.  Information was home on Tuesday March 2 in the Tuesday Packet.  If you are interested please fill out the information and return it as soon as possible or stop by the office to complete a registration form.

Easy Fundraising For Little Flower

How often do you use Search Engines?  My guess is that you use them often.  You can raise money for our school while completing your searches.  Use www.goodsearch.com and you can support our school.  They give 1 cent for every search that is made.  Over the course of a year this could translate to hundreds of dollars for our school.
